RAINS

The monsoon has set in and given us a relief from the scorching heat. We all love rains. In India rains are the ultimate blessings showered on us by God. No matter what our age is we all enjoy getting wet and playing in the rains. Though many us will not admit this. Grown ups think it is too childish. Well the child is always alive in each one of us. I for sure love getting soaked in the rains. With the onset of monsoons comes the danger of water logging. Have we ever given a thought on the most important reason for water logging? We the citizens always without a second thought put the blame on the civic bodies. But we are the bigger culprits then them. We have developed an unhealthy ritual of throwing whatever is not needed on the streets. Even when facilities for disposal are available we seldom use it. This garbage thrown by us on the streets all 24 hours a day is the main reason for water logging. Try throwing things here and there in your home and let them flow with the water into your drain pipes. You can imagine what will happen after a few days. This is exactly what happens in our city. It is not feasible for the civic bodies to clean each and every street all 24 hrs a day. I hope I have made my point. So friends, from now on you will not throw any garbage on the street. If there is no garbage disposal nearby I suggest we take the extra effort to find one and use it. Lets enjoy this monsoon without any WATER LOGGING.
