FANTASTIC

ABHINAV BINDRA, today started a new chapter in the Indian Olympics History. He becomes the first Indian to win an individual Gold Medal. We all congratulate him, his parents, coaches for this fantastic achievement. Many years of hard work and dedication must have gone into making this possible. He seems to be a very down to earth person. He had his emotions under control. His humbleness in this great moment of victory was evident from his expressions. Many of us can learn a lot from this. Just watching the game sitting comfortably at home and making special comments on how to play is easily done by most of us. But very few of us really try to understand what goes on in the minds of the players when they are on the field. A vast majority are always ready to criticise when a player or team fails. Nobody enjoys loosing. I also feel sad when India does not win, but I have stopped ridiculing a player or team for the loss. They are out there doing their job just like we do ours and we also fail in our task many times and so do they. Next time our players or team do not perform well make an earnest attempt to stay away from criticism.
